Directing Proposals
for 2012-2013 Season

The Program Development Committee is accepting directors’ proposals for our 2012-2013 season. Proposals may be submitted for our subscription season as well as for additional productions and a possible Utica College collaboration. The goal is to stage the new season’s productions in our Black Box Theater space at our new theater on State Street. (The Utica College collaboration would be in Strebel Auditorium.)

Please keep these considerations in mind as you select your shows’ titles:

 Submission of preferably two proposals (A script must be submitted with each proposal. We are unable to consider a proposal without a script.)

 Shows with strong audience appeal

 Simple staging and set demands (Unit sets will work best for the venue.)

 Limited technical and budget demands (Players has pre-set budgets for productions.)

 Utica College collaboration only: larger cast with college age role available

 Submission deadline: March 1, 2012

Note: If you do not have any particular play in mind that you would like to direct, you may request to be considered for directing without submission of play titles. If you are invited to direct, Players will discuss and assign a show to you.
